Pathways to Possibilities LLC was founded on March 22, 2024 by Cashmer L. Smith, alumna of Indiana State University, alongside her family. While the company was formally established in 2024, the heart of its work began long before rooted in generations of service and community care.

The organization’s foundation is inspired by its family matriarch, Tennessee Smith, who instilled a lifelong commitment to giving wholeheartedly, regardless of circumstance. That legacy of service shaped the values and vision behind Pathways to Possibilities and continues to guide its mission today.

Built from lived experience and professional expertise, Pathways to Possibilities was created in response to gaps in traditional human service systems often hindered by bureaucracy, reactivity, and a lack of culturally responsive care. The company exists to do things differently by meeting families where they are and walking alongside them toward stability, safety, and opportunity.
